This year’s Music Festival will take place from 27th June to the 5th July.
Saturday 27th June 7:30pm: Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra
We are delighted that Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra will open the Festival with Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony, Tscherepnin’s Kammerkonzert and Concerto in D minor by CPE Bach conducted by Marcia da Silva and featuring Aleksandra and Pasha Mansurov.
Sunday 28th June at 4 pm: Trinity Music Academy
Richard Evans from the Trinity Music Academy will bring his most talented young musicians. Always a joy.
Tuesday 30th June at 7:30pm: Thomas Kelly
We are very fortunate to have a recital by Thomas Kelly, one of Britain’s foremost young pianists and recently a runner up in the Utrecht International Piano competition. Thomas will play Beethoven’s Waldstein sonata and Andante Favori and more.
Thursday the 2nd July 7:30pm:
We are thrilled to welcome back the Sacconi String Quartet who will play Haydn’s Bird Quartet opus 33, Waley- Cohen Dances and Beethoven’s Quartet in A Minor opus 132.
Saturday 4th July 7:30pm: Jazz Supper
Jazz Supper with Dime Notes for an evening of Swinging Blues in memory of Lucky Shepherd, our long standing Friend and Supporter. Supper by Adam Newington.
Sunday 5th July 4pm: Dan Tong & Sara Trickey
We welcome Dan Tong (on piano) and Sara Trickey (violinist) who will explore how Brahms and Schumann were inspired by Beethoven, playing Beethoven’s Sonatas in A minor opus 23 and in G opus 78.
