The Etchingham Music Festival will take place from 27th June – 5th July<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This year we are delighted to open the Festival with Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra playing Beethoven\u2019s Eroica Symphony and a flute concerto. This will be followed by a Piano Recital by young and outstanding pianist Thomas Kelly, a performance by the amazing\u00a0 <\/span>Sacconi String Quartet and more, ending with a Jazz Supper by our favourite band Dime Notes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Etchingham Music Festival is a series of concerts of music and the spoken word held in the superb 14th century church in Etchingham, East Sussex.

One of the highlights of the Festival every year is the use of the magnificent Steinway grand piano introduced to us by our late patron Dr. Peter Katin.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"The Festival aims to build on past successes and introduce new performers in a varied and entertaining programme. Why not take the opportunity to listen to quality performances in the intimate surroundings of a beautiful country church?<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr\u00a0Nick Marshall<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We are extremely sad to have lost our dear friend and colleague Nick Marshall who died in February. For many years, Nick had been a hardworking member of the Committee and many of you will remember his wonderful programme notes written anonymously with the motif of a magpie with editorial support from his friend Greg Preston.\u00a0Nick\u2019s dearly beloved partner of 55 years, David Hearse was responsible for the design and creation of our elegant programmes. Nick had an astounding knowledge of all things musical and to record his passing we are dedicating the Sacconi Quartet concert to his memory but next year we will put on a Special Concert chosen by Nick as his own Farewell.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
